Special Emphasis Reports

Topic-specific reports that allow for uniform publication of state data

The following are topic-specific Special Emphasis Reports for use with ICD-10-CM coded hospitalization and Emergency Department (ED) data, and ICD-10 mortality data. Injury Special Emphasis Reports are used by state health department injury and violence prevention programs and their partners to move injury data into action. They are intended to focus on subsets of a state’s injury data to highlight the prevention needs related to specific causes or populations. Originally published by CDC, these reports allow for uniform publication of state data and are designed to extend the reach and ease of publishing state injury indicator data.
